Micro Credit Background

Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the 2006 Nobel Peace prize winner along with the Grameen Bank, began loaning small amounts of money to the poorest of the poor of Bangladesh in 1976. With tiny loans these impoverished people were able to begin to generate an income and break the devastating cycle of poverty. Today there are more than 10,000 micro finance institutions around the world helping over 180 million people.

Where Donations Go

Since 2006 we have helped over 30,000 of the world's poorest start businesses. 100% of donations made to the Guerrant Foundation are passed through to the following organizations: Opportunity International, BRAC USA, and Pro Mujer.

How You Can Help

You can help create success stories by funding more hardworking entrepreneurs. 98% of loans are repaid and the money is loaned out again and again to other potential business owners. By supporting The Guerrant Foundation your donation continues to give. Donations up to $100,000 per year are matched by Terry and Anne Guerrant.
